Awarded BEST SURVIVAL KNIFE by Backpacker Magazine!
What makes Scout Feather the best EDC knife and a must for camping, adventure, hunting, fishing, and survival?Ā
It's got to be that it is so much more than just a knife. Not only does it cut, it also sparks fire, sharpens in the field, and signals for help.
SCOUT FEATHER: EDC Drop Point Blade
A scout is prepared; a scout knows the environment and loves the outdoors. Confidence radiates from a scout. Welcome to the Scout Feather -- the ideal tool in the quiver of preparedness. This small and mighty blade cuts, sparks fire, sharpens, and signals.
That's four Elements of Adventure so you can Explore with Confidence!
4 ELEMENTS FOR ADVENTURE
CUT: Confidently cut with this small yet mighty blade. From camp kitchen to campfire, Scout is nimble enough to whittle, strong enough to baton.Ā Ā
Scout Feather's drop point traditional profile and saber grind make this little fixed blade incredibly sharp and strong. With exceptional durability, Scout chops, cuts, and pierces with ease. It's the ultimate camp culinary knife and so much more. Scout takes a beating and retains a razor-sharp edge.
COMBUSTION: Throw generous sparks by striking the 90-degree spine against the hex-shaped, threaded ferrocerium rod integrated into the sheath.
SIGNAL: Be loud. Be found. A loud, 115b safety whistle is attached to the butt of the knife on a reflective mini lanyard strung through the hex driver.
SHARPEN: A sharp knife is a safe knife. Hone the blade on the go using the ceramic honing V notch in the sheath.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
DRIVE:Ā Tighten or replace the threaded 1/4ā hex ferro rod using the built-in driver. The sheath is fully threaded so the ferro rod can be inserted backward, providing additional purchase/grip in holding the sheath and striking the knife's spine against the ferro rod.
CARRY OPTIONS:Ā Multiple carry options make Scout Feather secure and accessible. The form-fitted, secure-lock sheath features a heavy-duty clip, specifically designed to fit 3/4" webbing (common size of sternum straps on backpacks). MOLLE compatible. Or wear Scout Feather as a neck knife by threading the cordage of your choice (we suggest ourĀ custom survival cord) through the two larger sheath rivets. Scout Feather is lightweight (2.3 oz unsheathed, 4.0 oz sheathed) and easy to carry. Now includes additional belt clip and hardware.
GIFT IDEAS:Ā Ideal for any outdoor enthusiast, whether novice or expert, for men, and women, EDC, cooking, fishing, camping, hiking, and bushcraft, stored in your emergency kit in the car or bug-out bag, so youāre ready for any outdoor adventure or emergency. Unique gift for the man or woman in your life that has everything. Give it for Christmas, as a stocking stuffer, or for any other holiday, birthday, Motherās Day, Fatherās Day, or other occasion such as a wedding, graduation or thank you gift for a coach, mentor, teacher, friend, or neighbor.
WISE OWL GLOW OPTION:Available in a fluorescent, glow-in-the-dark handle option and a GLOW whistle.Ā
Did you know an owl's feathers fluoresce? Now your Scout Feather can too with the 'Wise Owl' Glow Option!
OD GREEN SCALES OPTION:Available with a blackened blade, an OD Green handle, orange whistle, and light gray sheath.
GLOW WITH ORANGE SCALES OPTION:Available with a blackened blade, an Orange handle, GLOW whistle, and black sheath.

What's in a name?Ā
Why is there a theme of feathers in the naming of the knives? Along with being lightweight and beautiful like these knives, feathers hearken back to my Native American heritage.Ā Read more here.

I needed a smaller knife for my chest pack on hikes and bushcrafting and the Scout Feather has been awsome . I also picked up the bellows that is great quality. I definitely recommend any body that needs a small fix blade to check this knife out you will not be disappointed!

Scout Feather
I got the Scout Feather last year as a Christmas present. The knife was send to Sweden and all together it almost costed 100 dollar. I really loved the functionality, it fits great in my hand and the size if perfect. I also liked the thought of supporting small business companies. One rather big down side was that the edge retention from the blade I received was really poor. I had higher expectations of the VG10 steel. If it was not for the soft blade it would have gotten 5 out of 5 stars.
Thank you for the feedback. It helps us improve. Blade retention is extremely important to us. We have quality control processes in place, testing Rockwell Hardness throughout the production of the blades, and would love to learn more about how this knife blade failed. Curious what you're cutting. If youāre open to it, could you share a bit more about how you were using it? That context helps us better understand and address the issue. We will email you directly for more information. Hope to hear from you soon so we can make this right. Thank you for trusting in us.

New Orange!
I bought the Orange Glow Scout on Outdoor Element's Whatnot.com auction. Adding to my collection of their other knives and cool gear. This is a great addition! Cool orange color, easy to find amongst your gear during the day, easy to find at night in a dark tent. They engrave the knives they sell on auction, this one has an owl on it. Gave an engraved Contour to my dad, he loves it! Check out OE Whatnot auctions, they have other really cool and unique engravings they only sell on the auctions.
Also including a pic of my Grey Glow Scout while out exploring. It has lasted years, has taken a bit of a beating, but still looks new and is still sharp. I always carry a Scout and Fiber Light with me. OE products are a great value.
