OE Athletes/Ambassadors

We are proud to be involved with some of the best athletes in the world and would like to introduce some of them to you.

 OE Ambassador, Kora Heintz

Kora Heintz

Born: Denver, Colorado

Hometown: On top of the mountains

Kora is a proud native Coloradan who has been an outdoors person all her life.  She went to her first national park at 4 months old and did her first 14er at 11 months (on her mom’s back of course).  It's Kora’s life goal to explore as much of the outdoors as possible.  She plans to ski at all 28 resorts in Colorado, visit all the national parks, and maybe do a 14er or two on her own two feet.  With OE gear she feels prepared to face any challenge the Rocky Mountains can throw at her. You can mainly catch Kora shredding the gnar on her skis, but she also snowboards, rock climbs, hikes, paddleboards, and runs.  If it's got the words “outdoor” and “activity” she’s there.

OE Ambassador, Rani Spivey

Rani Spivey

Born: San Antonio, TX
Hometown: in the sky
Altitude love started early for Rani by climbing trees and falling on her dad. This progressed into full blown altitude addiction, by the age of 16 she was flying planes before she could drive a car. You can find her anywhere there is an adventure to be had. Usually spotted in the air, on the side of a cliff, or hiking the classics always with the kodiak.
National Park and gellato connoisseur she enjoys adventures with her adventure partner/husband Shane and wonder dog Matty

OE Ambassador, Michal Thompson

Michal Thompson

Born: to run

Hometown: Parker, CO

Michal was raised by outdoor-loving parents; therefore she was genetically destined to live an active lifestyle. Michal tried her hand at HS wrestling - sent a few boys packing. Michal is now mother to 5 busy children which gives her no choice but to possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero to 60mph in three seconds flat. These capabilities have benefited her in her love for racing 5k‘s to marathons, Ragnars, triathlons and obstacle races. Michal is often seen training with a few tag-a-longs (or push-a-longs). Michal has also found the Kodiak’s paracord handy for child restraint. Sleep just seems to get in the way.

OE Ambassador, Doug Crookston

Doug Crookston

Born: On top of the food chain

Hometown: 39°35‘50.92"N - 108°48’11.41"W

Doug believes that survival depends on how well you can kill, clean, and cook your own food. Raised in the mountains of Colorado he feels at home when he hears the elk bugle and in most cases, he is not far behind them; in pursuit and ready to take aim. His best workouts are done with a good pair boots, a trusty gun, and a meat filled backpack. Doug even killed a black bear and an alligator within a week of each other without losing an arm, thankfully because he is always sporting the Kodiak Survival Braid. As a mountain nomad, he trusts his gear because his solitude takes him to places most people will never venture.

OE Ambassador, Carianne Feller

Carianne Feller

Born: ColoRADo

Hometown: Issaquah, WA

There is little that motivates Carianne like being outside, being active, and exploring. She’s more the jack-of-all-trades type than a master of one. Raised in Colorado running, rappelling, caving, and hiking 14ers. Has spent time working and canyoneering in Zion National Park, guiding at-risk youth through the Utah wilderness, and several years as an outdoor gear saleswoman and loves OE product. Now living in the Tahoe playground she enjoys backpacking, trail running, rock climbing, cycling, skiing, triathlons, and adventure of all kinds. Work hard, play hard is her motto. Registered Nurse and Certified Health Coach, She is always encouraging her clients to get into the great outdoors - for their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. She has been known to stop along her adventures in the wilderness and watercolor paint in order to slow down and take it all in.

OE Ambassador, Mike Mojica

Mike Mojica

Born: Germany (Army Brat)

Hometown: Forged in the rolling hills of Texas

Outdoor enthusiast; loves the taste of warm Texas rainstorms in the middle of a run. Colorado trails are his current home. He has snuck in a marathon or two. When he’s not out beating the street and trails with some sneaks, he is lost in his personal CAD sandbox developing the next biggest thing. Although he has never been in a rodeo he has been known to be chased by a couple of bulls.

If you would like to become an ambassador, please email us at contact@outdoorelement.com with "Ambassador Request" as the subject and provide a short bio with your main sport and maybe a link to your social profile.
