Talk about a solid well thought out tool and this carabiner is it! When backpacking we have been in scenarios where we were in need of a lighter due to our camp stove not lighting on its own due to altitude and now we have a tool for it that is easily accessible and multipurpose. Easy win!
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review of our Firebiner multitool carabiner. We're so glad to hear that it has been a useful and reliable tool for your backpacking trips, especially in situations where a lighter is needed at higher altitudes. We designed the Firebiner with versatility in mind, so it's great to know that it has met your needs in multiple ways. Thanks again for your support and happy adventuring!

What really give this 5 stars is the customer service
I purchased this as I have lost my share of ferro rods by laying them down and them magically disappearing (lol). I figured I would buy this and just snap it to my bag and use it to hang my crocs from it. It sparks easy enough and I have been able to light my mini stove from it. I have not tried it yet with my homemade fire-starting (lint/wax), but I am sure it would catch easy enough. What really give this 5 stars is the customer service.
I like to know how to fix things should I need to (this comes with 2 extra ferro rods). Their website has videos on how to take out the set screw and replace the ferro rod. When I tried to remove set screw, it was literally stuck in there. Finally got it moving and it was a struggle to get out. Once I had it out, the set screw would not go back in. I contacted Outdoor Element and provided pictures to show the issue I had. They were very understanding and the next day they had already shipped me a replacement. Great Customer Service. While I hope I do not lose this one, it I do - I know I will buy another.
