How It Works

Using pen-metheus™ as a pen is just what you'd expect—remove the cap and write.

When it's time to make fire, simply unscrew the pen, reveal the hidden ferro rod, and use the integrated hardened striker edge on the pen cap to throw sparks and start a fire.

Standard Aluminum vs Premium Carbon Fiber Glow

The Standard Aluminum models are crafted of aircraft-grade aluminum, available in High Viz Orange, Gunmetal Gray, or Classic Black.

The Premium Carbon Fiber Glow model is available in all-black and features a carbon fiber body with glow fibers that create a veining effect, unique to each pen. (The cap is made of aircraft-grade aluminum.)

All pen-metheus models come with glow-in-the-dark reflectors on the cap and three glow O-rings.



Replacement Parts

We sell replacement parts because we'd rather keep great gear in your pocket than send it to a landfill.

Tinder sheet refills, mini-cartridge ink refills, ferro rods, and O-rings are all refillable and/or replaceable.

Warranty

We build gear to be used, not babied. We expect you to write with pen-metheus every day. Throw it in your pack. Take it camping. Let it earn its scratches (aka adventure marks).

But if, by some chance, your pen-metheus fails due to defects in materials or workmanship within 10 years of purchase, we want to hear about it, and we'll repair or replace it.

Normal wear, cosmetic scratches, lost parts, consumable components (such as ink cartridges, O-rings, ferro rods, and tinder), misuse, and intentional damage aren't covered.

The good news? We sell replacement parts because we'd rather keep great gear in your pocket than send it to a landfill.
