I did love my fire starter. I purchased it primarily because it was advertised as a multitool carabiner that was TSA compliant, which would make traveling to hike and camp in various states a lot easier for me. Had it confiscated the very first time I tried to fly with it. The agent informed me that this is common. So, great tool for what it does. Don’t believe the hype about it being acceptable to fly with
I am so sorry to hear of your experience with the TSA. Both Firebiner and Fire Escape are compliant with TSA regulations and should not have been confiscated. We met with TSA; they explained our carabiners are “TSA friendly.” Typically, TSA examines it, then recognizes that it cannot be used as a weapon and allows it to pass through without issue. They also told us that each TSA agent has their own discretion so if they personally felt it was hazardous, they could confiscate it, but this was very unlikely.
I purchased as a light weight useful tool to use when hiking or camping. I have not done either since receiving it, but I have tested it out and it starts my stove and cuts paracord easily.

I haven’t used the knife outside of the house yet, but it seems to hold an edge well and feels good in the hand.

This little knife is the kit! Fits so good in my hand and is SO balanced. Functional clip option for multiple types of carry. I use it as a neck knife with my Wazoo Viking Spark when hunting and hiking, Or clip on my pack as an EDC. Just a great FUNCTIONAL little knife. Extremely pleased. First knife from OE and given its performance it will not be my last!

Exceeded my expectations. Quality materials VG10 Blade steel, this is the steel Spyderco uses on a lot of there Japan made knives. Knife has no real hot spots in my hand and feels like a much more expensive knife in my opinion The flipper tab is great and the detent is dialed in perfectly. Blade centering is perfect no side to side or up and down blade play. The blade grind is even and comes hair shaving sharp. The G10 scales are very grippy for a controlled fell in your hand in different environments. . This knife will find its way into my edc rotation. You guys keep doing what you are doing because you are doing an awesome job with the design of your knives.
